All of a sudden, Ravi Mehta dropped a mail to me asking my views on http://www.discover-brain-games.com/ I approached this website to find different online games in those web-pages. With a curious mind to know abow these games, I went on playing few of those (in fact many of those). But I was really shocked when he came back and said that he has developed those and looking for opinions if those can be transformed into mobile games. No wonder, his scholar mind is definately capable of developing such thing and then I came to a conclusion and wrote him the following about his games -
=====================================
Ravi,
Before I post a review for your site, i would rather suggest some thing to you which I think would make your site more interesting
1. About 8 queens: Placing all 8 queens seem to be rather a difficult task. Any person with normal IQ would try this 4-5 times and might land up saying this is not possible. I would rather suggest to extend this game. Start from placing 4 queens and increase 1 queen in next stage. This would give the user a reason to celebrate and such a guy would certainly get back for the next difficult stage. :)
2. Pie game: this looks like an endless game. Probably it has a lenght when the user gets certain number of pie proportions right but that looks unachievable. This makes it lenghty, i was playing this for lot of time but you know... Rather you can make this multiplayer and keep it best of 10 or something like that, alternatively, think of finding 10 portions right in less number of attempts. Let users compare their scores,
3. Baloons: sometimes the result is in 2 digit + user has to press enter. thus aparently, on a avg, one has to press 3 keys to get it right and by that time the baloon is missed. Result, low score which might lead to disinterest. Rather, if you can take care that the result is only 1 digit and remove the requirement of pressing enter key. That means the user would require pressing of single key to score. This would result in high scores and in my opinion, users would like it.
4. Wall game, sudoku and other look good.
If you have got the message clearly, i am advocating making these games a little easier (within the reach of normal iq), competition-oriented (multi-player game), etc.
Looking forward for more games from you.
Please let me know what you think then i can proceed posting a review on the blog page as previously said.
You may optionally think of placing some info about http://www.need-junction.com/ on your page.
Regards,
Shekhar
