Decisions...and...updates from Aug-2010

Today on the very first day of Diwali...I have made up my mind...

I had to pick one of the two...first was well being of my family...and second was well being of the self...and I have selected the well being of my family...I have taken certain decisions...
(Aug-2010: Yes, I am following these)

First...In near future I will plan to shift to Sahakarnagar which will make my family complete...
(Aug-2010: Well! I tried this during Nov-Dec - 2007 but it did not help so scrapped this from the list)

Second...I am not going out of town on a permenant basis...like i had thought of running away to bangalore...for the sake of career growth...before the growth in career...I have to concentrate on well being of my family...
(Aug-2010: Yes, I am following this. But now things have changed. I mean my younger brother is no more in college. I can rely on him when I am away.)

Third...I shall plan to reconcentrate on stocks...that I had given up to liquidate the cash and concentrate on something else...if I can convert 1.8 to 3.2 in 14 months...I can do that again...
(Aug-2010: Yes, started long back)

Forth...Building a home comes back on the priority list...
(Aug-2010: this is still on the list)
Fifth...orkut only when really free...have to utilise the time more efficiently...so that maximum can remain for my people...
(Aug-2010: Yes, I have not seen orkut since...I dont kno - how many months but it has been long time.)
Sixth...4 wheeler can wait...2 wheeler is a priority...that will definately save the travel cost...
(Aug-2010: Yes)

Seventh...Put family first...then the career...and then the self...
(Aug-2010: Yes)
Eighth...maintain fitness...you can do good when you are fit both physically and mentally...change in environment is enough for mental fitness...next is physical fitness...
(Aug-2010: Yes, tried some fitness routines during last years. But the best is when I visit Germany, I loose some weight naturally)

Nineth...Keep the long term goal in the vision...and move towards it...this time...calculate risks and the move...
(Aug-2010: Yes, Need-Junction - www.need-junction.blogspot.com/ - is on track. Now, we are partners to almost 30 brands. We help them to find business and help our visitor to fnd the best product. So, its win-win)

Tenth...no haphazard expenditure...life is going to be big...and keep the best for the rest...and for the satisfaction of the complete family...
(Aug-2010: Yes)
Eleventh...develop the skill to convert worries into fun...be like that shekhar...who was living his life 1 year back...leave worries on to the almighty...if certain things have to happen...they will happen...just...keep the faith...
(Aug-2010: Yes, celebrating every minor sucess and trying to forget the biggest mishaps :) )
So this becomes my check list, which will always remain on this page and recall what I have to do...I shall satisfy all needs of my family and will try to make it complete in all respects...

Win-Win

Winning might not be everything…but failures…definitely have something to recommend it…But who says…that someone can fail…basically its always a win – win situation…in fact…your desire to win grows once you fail…you start concentrating on improving yourself and the only thing that happens is your improvement…This is the way that makes you a true winner…Take an example…Aussies are the favs in cricket…but 20-20 is won by India…Aussies accepted the defeat…and this failure did not bring them down…they have recently registered a huge victory over India by 9 wickets…Now that’s about cricket…In real life, there will be instances when you will come across situations, where you have to accept set-backs…under such circumstances, one should accept it for the time-being…work on your mistakes…improve yourself…and get back with new improved cards…so this is winning all about…learning from failures…improving yourself…and serve the purpose…after all…even after failing…you have that “junoon” to win…

After all…failures capacity is exactly why venture capitalists often look for managers to run startups whose resumes include experience with a flop…One such example is Virgin management…which has managers…who had once failed and were overlooked by other companies because of failures in career…but these are much better than repetitive winners…

All it requires is to reframe the thinking style…most of the people seek positive outcomes and set about to prove that an experiment works…but designers, inventors and scientists (I call them the logic lovers), struggling to be more creative, take the opposite track…they focus on potential flaws that brought the failure…here what is missing is…the understanding that…failures provide more learning than winning…even they realize this with time…and emerge out to be winners…the only important factor over here is to provide them that sufficient time…

Now come to the other side of the coin…winners...no comments...they are only recommended...if they really deserved that...and didnot win due to miskakes of others...

Thus…its always a WIN-WIN situation…after all, failure is never permanent…it is just a state……if one can understand this…he can definitely prepare to win…
